Consistency: Why You Can't See Results Yet

In the first few weeks of a new routine, it's common to look in the mirror or step on the scale and see no change at all.

Your body improves before you can see the changes

In roughly the first six weeks, much of your progress happens on the inside. Your body gets better at using the muscle you already have, before the muscle itself grows meaningfully. Your heart and lungs start adapting too.

Signs it's working

  • You feel more comfortable with the same weights or resistance.
  • A run or ride you used to struggle with feels easier.
  • You have more energy through the day.

Why this matters

This gap between effort and visible results is where many people give up. Knowing to expect the gap makes it much easier to keep going.

Remember

Progress happens slowly. Be patient and trust the process.
